PROTENG

Automatic autonomous fire extinguishers of the PROTENG® brand are designed to protect enclosed spaces with an increased risk of fire up to a volume of 2 m³.

The device works automatically without operator intervention, automatically, without the need for an external source on the principle of high temperature or direct flame detection, independent of power supply by a special modified polyamide (PA) hose (outer diameter approx. 18 mm), which is activated at 70 °C - 100 °C (± 3 °C), depending on the type of Proteng device, or by direct flame.

If a fire caused by flames occurs or when the temperature in the protected space reaches a critical limit, the pressure tube at the point of highest temperature degrades, remelts and creates an opening through which the entire contents of the extinguishant under pressure are released directly into the fire.

The extinguishing agent HFC227ea (heptafluoropropane) is a liquefied gas that turns into gas when entering the atmosphere. Extinguishing effects are based on the cooling and anti-catalytic effect. The extinguishing agent draws the heat from the combustible assembly and at the same time enters into the chain chemical reaction of combustion and slows down and stops this reaction.

The extinguishing agent is not toxic or poisonous, it has no carcinogenic or mutagenic effects.
